The World’s Largest Build-A-Bear is Coming to Orlando, With Experiences Found Nowhere Else

If your kids or grandkids like Build-A-Bear, there will soon be a much bigger one to visit in Orlando. A three-story Build-A-Bear Workshop is opening at ICON Park in November.

Build-A-Bear shared more details about the new location in an October 5 announcement. The company is calling it its largest and most immersive experience yet.

Some things inside will only be available at the Orlando location. That includes the first Build-A-Bear Design Studio, where guests can make a furry friend with more choices than they normally get in a Workshop.

The location will also include a Build-A-Bear Bakeshop and a new Personalize Me station. The company has not announced an exact opening date yet.

The Design Studio will be appointment-only

Guests who book the Design Studio will work with a Design Consultant. They can choose the animal style, fur type and color, eye color, and paw design. Build-A-Bear says some fabrics, textures, and other materials will be available only in this studio.

Guests will be able to look at the design digitally before it is made. A Build-A-Bear seamstress will then make the stuffed animal. The visit also includes the usual Heart Ceremony, along with a special birth certificate and Design Studio Cub Condo.

There will also be a Bakeshop

The Build-A-Bear Bakeshop will have cupcakes and cookies that guests can decorate themselves. Build-A-Bear says visitors will be able to choose frosting and decorations for the treats.

The Personalize Me station will offer another way to customize purchases. Names, initials, or numbers can be embroidered on clothing. Patches and some custom screen prints will also be available. Certain furry friends can have their ears embroidered.

Build-A-Bear has more to announce

The company first announced plans for the three-story ICON Park location in March 2025. At the time, Build-A-Bear said it was working with Chute Gerdeman on the project.

The Design Studio, Bakeshop, and Personalize Me station are only part of what is planned for the new Workshop. Build-A-Bear says it will release more details before the opening. So far, the company has only said the Orlando location will open in November.
