Kings Island’s Halloween Haunt is Now Open With a New Jason Attraction
If you’re heading to Kings Island for Halloween Haunt, get ready to be scared with a brand-new attraction. Kings Island’s newest haunted maze, JASON: Blood Reign, based on the Friday the 13th franchise, is now officially open.
Each year during spooky season, Kings Island gets scarier when the sun goes down with Halloween Haunt, which includes haunted mazes, scare zones, and live shows.
This year, JASON: Blood Reign joins Metal Massacre as the two new mazes ready to scare visitors.
Keep in mind that you may want to leave the kids at home for this special event, as Kings Island says Halloween Haunt is not recommended for children under 13.

The haunted maze takes guests into the dark woods around a legendary summer camp, based on Jason Voorhees and the Friday the 13th franchise.
It is included with the Haunted Attractions Pass or Haunted Attractions Express Pass.
Metal Massacre is also new this year and is themed around a deadly concert. Other haunted mazes include Order of the Dragon, Alien Abyss, KillMart, and Slaughter House.
You Need an Extra Pass for the Mazes
Haunted mazes cost extra and aren’t included with regular park admission. However, if you still want to be spooked during your regular park day, Scare zones, live shows, and most rides are included with admission.
Haunted Attractions Pass starts at $49 for the all-season version, while park admission and haunted maze bundles start at $64 online, plus processing fees.
The Conjuring: Beyond Fear is another separate attraction from the regular Haunted Attractions Pass and requires its own ticket. The Conjuring attraction puts guests in the role of paranormal investigators and includes Annabelle and other characters/elements from The Conjuring universe.
There’s More Than Haunted Mazes
This year’s scare zones include themes of Pumpkin Eater, Coney Maul, Abandoned, and Hooked. Meanwhile, the live shows include Nytewalkers, Ghouls Gone Wild, and Dr. Nightmare’s Game Show.
If you’re looking for a more family-friendly Halloween trip, Tricks and Treats starts September 27 and runs on select days through November 1. It is a daytime, family-friendly Halloween event that includes trick-or-treating, costume activities, and family rides.
