Miami’s Huge Haunted Carnival Has a Haunted Roller Coaster This Year
If haunted houses aren’t scary enough for you, Miami has another option this Halloween. House of Horror Haunted Carnival has added a haunted roller coaster to its lineup this year.
Howie’s Blind Terror: The Dark Coaster combines a haunted attraction with an actual roller coaster ride in complete darkness. House of Horror calls it the only haunted dark coaster in North America.
The attraction is one of five new haunted experiences at the carnival this year. House of Horror is also celebrating its 25th anniversary and has moved from Miami International Mall to a new home at Tropical Park.
General admission starts at $39.99 online and includes all five haunted attractions, unlimited carnival rides and free parking. The event runs through November 1.

Howie’s Blind Terror sends riders through the dark, where they won’t be able to see what is coming next.
The story is that creepy Howie has taken over the coaster, cut the power, and sabotaged the tracks. Riders are then sent through the course with drops and other surprises along the way.
The coaster is included with regular admission, along with the carnival rides and other haunted attractions.
There Are Four More New Haunts
If one haunted roller coaster isn’t enough, there are four other new attractions this year. Hide and Seek: The Warden’s Game takes guests into an abandoned junkyard, where they can choose different paths as they make their way through.
Meanwhile, The Abduction takes place inside a 360-degree dome and centers around a military bunker that has been taken over by aliens.
Camp Dead-End Trails has a snowy mountain camp theme, while Isla de las Muñecas is inspired by Mexico’s famous Island of the Dolls. House of Horror says all five haunted attractions are new for 2026.
Kids Have Their Own Area Too
Visiting with younger kids? They don’t have to go through the scarier attractions. House of Little Horrors is a new 50,000-square-foot family area with kid-friendly rides, a low-scare maze, photo opportunities, and vendors. It is included with admission and doesn’t have an age restriction.
Adults get something new too. Club Blood Type is a Halloween lounge for guests 21 and older, with themed cocktails and live entertainment. House of Horror is open from 6 to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. The carnival runs through November 1.
