Kendra Wilkinson Breaks Down in Tears as She Gives a Heartbreaking Update About Her Real Estate Career

Former Playboy model Kendra Wilkinson shared a tearful update with her followers this week. The since-expired Instagram Story featured a close-up of the single mom’s face as she cried in her car, telling her followers about how much she was struggling lately.

The reason for her tears? Wilkinson said she had recently been fired by a client. And while she recognized that life was pretty hard for everyone right now, she shared that she had been feeling especially beaten down after working to grow her career as a real estate agent.

Her story quickly went viral and was picked up by Entertainment Tonight and Page Six.  The New York Post also shared details about the story on Facebook, generating a lot of comments from followers. It sounds like her struggle is really resonating with people, especially those who work in the world of real estate.

Here’s what Wilkinson says is behind her sadness.

Wilkinson Turned to a Career in Real Estate After Her Divorce

According to E! News, who captured the details of the Instagram Story before it expired, Wilkinson was sobbing over several setbacks to her career. “I know that we’re living in a world of struggle right now,” she said in the video. “I know that, but it’s hard right now. I feel like I’m doing everything right in my life. I’m raising my kids. I’m putting them first. I’m doing everything good.”

However, that doesn’t appear to be enough to make her successful in the world of real estate, a career path she embarked on around six years ago.

“I’m a good person,” she continued, “and it’s just such a struggle right now finding people to work with me, getting fired, people being rude and mean—it’s taking a toll.”

She Felt Better After Sharing What She Was Going Through

Not one to be kept down for long, Wilkinson later posted a follow-up video thanking her followers for their support. While fans were sending her personal messages to lift her up, those on the New York Post Facebook page were commiserating with her struggles.

“Welcome to real estate girl. This is a regular week,” one person wrote in part. “Hit the gym, drink some coffee, erase your memory from yesterday, and go crush today.”

“That’s most real estate agents right now,” another person agreed.

“Full commission sales is tough, but you [have to] shake it off and pick yourself right back up,” yet another person added, telling her to find another client and move on.

Working in Real Estate is Hard Right Now

According to Indeed, working in real estate is full of pros and cons. For those who are good at networking, forming relationships with clients, and who have a strong interest in real estate, this can be a great career option. When you consider that the average income for a real estate agent is $95,018, it also seems like a profitable one.

However, Indeed says there are also downsides to the industry, including a lack of steady income, steep competition, and a lack of access to repeat business. That being said, the pros definitely outweigh the cons for many, making it a good option.

Hopefully things turn around for Wilkinson soon.
