If you grew up being freaked out by the Final Destination movies, Six Flags is giving you something else to be scared of. This year, the theme park is creating a new maze based on the horror film franchise.
Final Destination: Death’s Playground will open Sept. 18 during Fright Fest at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California. The Halloween event runs on select nights through Nov. 1.
Instead of following a masked killer, the maze will make Death and seemingly normal situations the villain. A sudden premonition reveals a chain of catastrophic events just before they happen, making fans feel like they are inside one of the Final Destination films.
Magic Mountain, along with Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, will be offering the new maze to visitors during the event.

Once the premonition occurs, visitors will discover that they have interrupted Death’s design. They will then have to make their way through the maze as a series of increasingly dangerous events unfolds around them.
Six Flags has not revealed which accidents from the movies will appear. According to KHTS, Death’s Playground will replace the former Condemned maze in the same location.
A Werewolf Rock Concert Maze Is Also New
Final Destination: Death’s Playground is one of two new mazes coming to Magic Mountain. Wolves’ Blood is another maze that begins in an isolated town that has been overrun by werewolves while an underground rock band prepares for its first live performance.
Visitors will travel from a small-town bus stop through damaged stores and barrooms before reaching the Dungeon Theater. The existing Fright Fest lineup also includes mazes based on The Conjuring Universe and Trick’ r Treat, along with several original stories.
Park Admission Does Not Include the Mazes
Six Flags requires a separate Haunted Attractions Pass for access to all of the mazes. Current prices start at $25 for the maze pass. A Fright Fest bundle with park admission and maze access starts at $74, before applicable taxes and fees. Fright Fest is not recommended for children under 13.
