Free Snoopy Fashion Exhibition Takes Over 16,000 Square Feet in New York

Snoopy has taken over 16,000 square feet in New York City for a free fashion exhibition. Snoopy in Style NYC is now open in the Meatpacking District with 10 different areas to explore.

The exhibition opened Sept. 2 and will remain in the city through Sept. 26. It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., although the hours may change during special events.

While fashion is a big part of the exhibition, visitors will also find areas dedicated to music, tennis and the history of Peanuts. Rare artwork and other items from the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center are also on display.

Snoopy in Style NYC is located at 25 Little West 12th Street. Admission is completely free, but fans may want to bring some money for the exclusive gift shop.

The exhibition features one-of-a-kind Snoopy and Woodstock dolls wearing custom outfits from dozens of designers. Some of the biggest names include Adidas, Coach, Levi’s, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, Tory Burch and GapStudio designed by Zac Posen.

This is not the first time Snoopy has entered the fashion world. A similar exhibition appeared at the Louvre in Paris in 1990 with designs from Chanel, Hermès, Dior, Armani and Givenchy.

Joe Cool Has His Own Listening Lounge

Visitors can hang out in Joe Cool’s Listening Lounge, which includes a DJ booth and a collection of records. The space focuses on Peanuts music, including the jazz compositions of Vince Guaraldi.

Another part of the exhibition explores Charles Schulz’s love of tennis. It also highlights his friendship with Billie Jean King and his support for Title IX and the Women’s Sports Foundation.

Fans Can Shop for Exclusive Snoopy Items

The exhibition includes a gift shop created by Sarah Andelman, the founder of the former Paris store colette. Fans can shop for Snoopy clothing, candy, bags, pins and other items from several different brands.

Moleskine also has a Hot Stamp Cart inside the shop. Visitors can even purchase a Snoopy in Style notebook and have it embossed with special character artwork.

The exhibition is only scheduled to stay in New York through Saturday, Sept. 26.
