The Prince of Darkness is getting a fitting new tribute at Universal Studios this fall. Ozzy Osbourne will become the focus of his own haunted house during Halloween Horror Nights.
Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness was officially announced on Wednesday, July 29. Different versions of the house will appear at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.
The experience arrives just over a year after the heavy metal legend died at age 76. Osbourne’s family worked with Universal’s creative teams on the tribute, which celebrates 45 years of his solo career.
Halloween Horror Nights will run on select nights from Aug. 28 through Nov. 1 in Orlando. The Hollywood event will begin Sept. 3 and continue through Nov. 1.
Guests Will Board the Crazy Train

The Orlando house will take visitors through ancient ruins and dark dungeons before sending them aboard the “Crazy Train.” Guests will enter a world ruled by the Prince of Darkness and inspired by some of Osbourne’s most recognizable album covers.
According to Orlando ABC affiliate WFTV, scenes will draw inspiration from Diary of a Madman, Bark at the Moon, The Ultimate Sin and Black Rain. Music from Blizzard of Ozz, No More Tears, Scream and Ordinary Man will also be featured.
The Hollywood version will begin with Osbourne’s childhood in Birmingham, England, before taking guests through different periods of his career. Madman Ozzy, Werewolf Ozzy and the Prince of Darkness are among the personas expected to appear.
Ozzy’s Family Helped Create the Tribute
In a joint statement released by Universal, Sharon and Jack Osbourne said visitors will recognize moments inspired by Ozzy’s music and imagination. They said, “It’s a wonderful tribute to Ozzy, and we hope fans have as much fun experiencing it as he would have had seeing it come together.”
Sharon also told Entertainment Weekly, “He’d absolutely love it. He’d be laughing his head off.” She added that Ozzy loved horror movies and Halloween. The family describes the experience as a decaying world where music and mayhem collide. Universal has also released a limited collection of merchandise connected to the house.
Halloween Horror Nights is a separately ticketed event and is not included with regular daytime park admission. The Orlando event will feature 10 haunted houses, scare zones, live entertainment, themed food and drinks, and select rides.
