An Attleboro, Massachusetts, backyard became the end point of a roadway crash Monday afternoon after a vehicle left the street and traveled through a wooded area, officials said.
Firefighters responded to Rachael Drive at 2:26 p.m. for a report of a vehicle in the woods, according to NBC 10.
Crews then found the vehicle in the backyard of a home on Captain Courtois Road.
The driver, identified only as a man in his 70s, was found outside the vehicle on the ground. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

Police said the vehicle had been traveling on Rachael Drive when it left the roadway. It moved about 75 feet through a wooded area, struck a fence, and stopped in the backyard of the Captain Courtois Road home.
NBC 10 described the vehicle in its image caption as a truck parked in the backyard after the crash.
The Driver Was Taken to the Hospital
Firefighters said the injured driver was already outside the vehicle when crews arrived. Officials did not immediately release the severity of his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation, and police had not released a cause in the initial report.
Backyard Damage Can Be Easy to Miss at First
After a crash like that, the fence may be only the most obvious damage. Homeowners may also need to check trees, drainage, irrigation lines, sheds, play equipment, garden beds, lighting, and anything underground near the vehicle’s path.
Homeowners should avoid moving debris while police or firefighters are still working, especially around leaking fluids, unstable fencing, damaged trees, or utility concerns.
