Universal Orlando is Hosting a One-Day ‘Wicked’ Event, Plus a ‘Traitors’ Bar

Universal Orlando is bringing Wicked to CityWalk later this month, and fans of The Traitors: New Blood can already check out a new themed bar there. The Wicked event, called Oztacular Spectacular, will run for one day only on October 24.

Universal announced both experiences on October 1. The Wicked event will run from noon to 7 p.m., while the Traitors bar is already open inside Universal’s Great Movie Escape.

Glinda and Elphaba will be there for meet-and-greets, along with costumes and props from the Wicked movies. The park will also feature stained-glass photo spots and a yellow brick dance floor.

For The Traitors, Universal has turned both bars inside Great Movie Escape into spaces inspired by the show. You can visit those without buying a ticket for one of the escape rooms.

Wicked Fans Can Meet Glinda And Elphaba

Oztacular Spectacular is happening on October 24 from noon to 7 p.m. at Universal CityWalk. Glinda and Elphaba will both make appearances during the event.

Universal will also display costumes and props from the movies. Several stained-glass displays will be set up for photos.

A DJ will play songs from the Wicked movies, with a yellow brick dance floor nearby. Fans can also join trivia for a chance to win giveaways. The Universal Legacy Store will also have new Wicked merchandise.

The Traitors Has Taken Over Two Bars

The Traitors: New Blood bar experience started on September 12. It is inside Universal’s Great Movie Escape at CityWalk. There are two different bars. The Library is on the first floor, while The Roundtable is upstairs.

Universal said fans can see set pieces, props, and costumes worn by Alan Cumming. The menu also has drinks based on the show, including The Raven, A Murder in Plain Sight, The Faithful and The Traitor.

There are nonalcoholic drinks too. The Shield is served in The Library, and The Ally is available at The Roundtable.

You Don’t Need An Escape Room Ticket

The two Traitors bars are open Wednesday through Sunday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Universal said anyone can go into the bar areas without buying admission to Great Movie Escape.

You would still need a separate ticket if you want to do one of the escape rooms. The Traitors: New Blood takeover is scheduled to stay at CityWalk during the show’s current season. The NBC series premiered on September 17 with Alan Cumming returning as host.
