Kitten Thrown From a Moving Car, Gets Remarkable Happy Ending

After a frightening ordeal that left him injured and alone, Roadster has finally found a place to call home.

The cat is now with a loving family following a rescue that took more than two weeks and involved several people working together to bring him to safety.

Roadster’s story began with a reported incident in which he was thrown from a moving car. According to Peninsula Friends of Animals’s Facebook post, he survived for 16 days on his own before he could finally be caught and taken for veterinary treatment.

His journey has now ended on a much happier note, with Roadster settling into a forever home.

A 16-Day Search

The rescue effort began after a driver named Joe Carter witnessed Roadster being thrown from a vehicle, according to the rescue account.

The witness, who was also a volunteer with local animal rescue groups, reportedly stopped immediately, began looking for the injured cat, and then called for additional help.

Roadster had, however, disappeared from the area, and finding him proved difficult. An experienced cat trapper joined the search, and information about the missing cat was also shared on social media to help locate him.

For days, there was no successful rescue. Then a member of the local community reported a possible sighting, giving those searching for Roadster another lead to follow.

The effort continued as rescuers tried to establish where he was hiding and how they could safely reach him.

The Breakthrough

Dr. Rachel Wiesen and Jerrin Fiorini were among those who became involved in the later stages of the search. They spent several days working to safely trap Roadster and the cat had reportedly suffered significant injuries during the incident.

The rescue account said he had substantial swelling around his head and that all of his nails had been torn off while he tried to catch himself on the asphalt. After 16 days alone, the breakthrough finally came on July 24.

Roadster was successfully captured and taken directly to Hadlock Veterinary Clinic, where his injuries could be assessed and treated. For a cat that had spent more than two weeks surviving outside while injured, being safely inside a veterinary clinic marked a major turning point in his story.

From Rescue to a Forever Home

Roadster’s recovery did not end when he was rescued. The rescue account said that despite everything he had experienced, he never showed aggression towards the people trying to help him.

Instead, with time, patience, and care, he gradually learned to trust again. That progress eventually led to the outcome everyone involved in the rescue had been hoping for.

Roadster has now been adopted and is living in a loving forever home.

His story has also prompted a strong response from people following his recovery online, with supporters celebrating the news that he had finally found a family.
