Chilling Investigation of 7 Missing Women and 1 Million Images Linked to a Philadelphia Home

A Philadelphia home has earned the nickname “house of horrors” after investigators began looking into Eugene and the late Raymond ‘R.C.’ Horsch, according to CBS News. An investigation into the home began after a June 16, 2026, traffic stop involving Eugene and an unidentified woman. During the stop, a nearby park ranger reported hearing the woman say, “you’re going to hurt me.”

While officers went through the vehicle, they found forged Drug Enforcement Administration credentials, and Eugene’s passenger was holding the identification of Blair Tonzelli. According to the outlet, Tonzelli had been reported missing back in 2023.

Philadelphia police began an investigation, and they made some disturbing finds at the property, which led them to connect the home to seven missing women, five of whom were presumed dead.

Police have reported finding “graphic and dark” evidence that leads them to believe that some of the women have been killed, even though they have yet to find any human remains or file charges.

Investigators Have Found More Than 1 Million Images and Videos

The home, which is located on Chew Ave., has been thoroughly investigated by police. During that time, investigators found more than 1 million pieces of photographic and video evidence linking the father-son duo to several missing women from the region.

NBC Philadelphia reports that the investigation has moved deeper into the home, with law enforcement taking down the shed in the backyard of the property so that they could access the dirt, which was removed with shovels and placed into bags.

Investigators were also seen spraying luminol on the floors and walls. Luminol is a chemical that can illuminate substances that may contain trace amounts of blood that would otherwise remain invisible to the human eye. The outlet says that sources have reported that human DNA has been found, but they haven’t yet confirmed if it belongs to any of the missing women.

Sources Say Investigators Have Removed Sewer Pipes

Inside the home, investigators have been focused on the basement, removing a 55-gallon drum and at least two clogged sewer laterals, according to CBS News. A few dozen containers of unidentified materials were also removed from the home, although police said that the contents were oil and sludge-like.

A source close to the investigation told the outlet that the basement resembled a high school science lab and that it was broken into several different rooms.

Officers are considering the late Raymond Horsch a “suspected serial killer” after viewing the books he had written and the pornographic films he had created. CBS News, which viewed some of the books Horsch had published on Amazon before they were removed, says that one story contained claims that the man had murdered a woman and used a chemical process to dispose of her remains.

Eugene Horsch has remained in federal custody since his June arrest for unrelated drugs and weapons charges. The outlet reports that it’s unclear whether he has spoken with investigators about their findings at the home.
