Guardians of the Galaxy’: Cosmic Rewind is Getting 3 New Holiday Songs at This EPCOT Ride
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is getting three Christmas songs for the holidays this year. Disney says the limited-time music starts November 25 at EPCOT.
The company announced the change on October 6 in an official Disney Parks Blog post. The songs are “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” by Andy Williams, “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24” by Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and “Christmas Wrapping” by The Waitresses.
If you have ridden Cosmic Rewind before, you know the song is part of the surprise. The coaster normally picks from six tracks, and Disney says it will also shuffle the three holiday songs from ride to ride.
Disney tried something different during the ride’s first holiday season in 2022, but this year it sounds like they are celebrating much bigger.
The first holiday version only had one song

Cosmic Rewind opened in May 2022, and by November, Disney had already swapped out its regular music for the holidays.
The company called that version the Holiday Remix. According to Disney’s 2022 announcement said the regular playlist was replaced with one new song that mixed several classic holiday tunes.
That is where this year’s version is different. Instead of hearing the same remix every time, riders have three possible songs.
There are usually six songs on Cosmic Rewind
The regular lineup includes “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire, “Disco Inferno” by The Trammps and “Conga” by Gloria Estefan & Miami Sound Machine.
The other three are “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears, “I Ran (So Far Away)” by A Flock of Seagulls and “One Way or Another” by Blondie.
Disney has messed with that rotation before, too. On September 21 this year, “September” was the only song playing on the ride all day.
The holiday songs start before EPCOT’s festival
The new soundtrack starts November 25 and is expected to stick around through January 6, 2027.
EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays begins November 27, two days after the songs arrive. The festival itself runs through December 30.
Cosmic Rewind is located in the World Discovery section of EPCOT. Disney lists a minimum height requirement of 42 inches for the ride.
