5-Year-Old Spotted Hanging Outside a Woman’s Car Window, Arrested for DUI
A Florida mom is in some legal trouble after she was arrested for driving with her 5-year-old daughter in the back seat of her car. Of course, it wasn’t just the fact that the little girl was in the back seat that got the 26-year-old mom in trouble, but instead it was what her daughter was doing while they were on the road.
Local10 News reports that Isabella Fernanda Saenz was seen driving on a major road while her daughter was standing up in the backseat of the car, unrestrained, with half of her body hanging out of the window. The outlet says that it obtained a copy of the arrest report regarding the incident, and Saenz told officers she had no idea what her daughter was doing behind her when she was stopped.
The Pembroke Pines police officer who wrote the report claims that the woman had “glossy” eyes when he spoke with her, prompting a sobriety test. He then went on to claim that she ultimately failed a breathalyzer as well.
According to Broward County Sheriff’s Office’s Booking Blotter, the mom was taken in and booked on Sept. 14, 2026. Now, she faces two charges as a result of the arrest.
The Arrest Report Says the Mom Was Heading Home From a Child’s Party

Local10 News reports that the 26-year-old claimed she was leaving “a kid’s birthday party in Miramar” before the stop, which occurred just after 10:30 p.m. Sept. 13, 2026. The woman admitted to having a single margarita at the party; however, the arrest report shows that she had a blood alcohol content of more than 0.12 percent during the traffic stop. According to the National College for DUI Defense, Florida’s legal limit is .08 percent.
The report went on to claim that the woman crossed over a solid white line while her daughter was still hanging out the window. Additionally, the officer reported that the car was on a major road at the time.
It Appears the Mom Has Made Bond
The 26-year-old no longer appears in the Broward County Sheriff’s Office database, which likely means she’s made bond and was released. However, this doesn’t mean the end of her legal troubles, since the Booking Blotter shows she was charged with Neglect Child Without Great Bodily Harm and DUI Alcohol or Drugs 1st Offense.
According to the law office of Ratzan & Faccidomo, LLC, the neglect charge is a third-degree felony, which carries a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison or a $5,000 fine. Meanwhile, the DUI charge is a little more complicated, according to the National College for DUI Defense, since there are 11 different ways to charge any DUI-related crime in Florida.
The 26-Year-Old Will Now Appear in Court
While first offenses are typically met with 12 months’ probation and additional conditions (like a fine, driver’s license suspension, or mandatory classes), the fact that her 5-year-old was in the car at the time could change things.
For now, the 26-year-old remains presumed innocent until she gets her day in court. However, there doesn’t appear to be any updates as to when exactly that will be.
